Abstract
Inbred mice have been developed from a few founder of fancy mice since 20th Gentry. Therefore there is narrow genetic interstrain differences among inbred mice. Some efforts devoted to the generation of new inbred strains of mice directly from wild mice. Newly established mice strains from wild populations could provide better understanding for mouse genome to researchers. Recently we established new mice strains(KWM/1Ysl) from Korea wild mice populations. We reported genetic characteristics of our newly established mice strain compared with those of the other inbred and wild-derived mice strains using microsatellite marker. We surveyed genotype of several microsatellite marker, Epo, IL2, kit, Morl, RPL32 and ST2 of mice. There is not differences of genotype in all of marker surveyed among KWM/1 mice strain. KWM/1 showed similar genotype pattern of microsatellite marker with CZECH II/Ei and MOLD/Rk. KWM/1 may be valuable as new genetic resources and contribute to the expansion of knowledge about the mouse genome.
